Fudge

This is the fudge I made for hot foods, quite a few have asked me for it so rather than keep sending it, here it is. I found this easier than any of the nuke and melt stuff I had done in the past. No thermometer needed

Cinnamon Fudge

3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup cocoa (what was in mine was Ghiradelli)
3 teaspoons cinnamon (mine was 1 or the other of 2 types of Penzys)
1 stick of butter
1/4 cup milk
2 tsp of Vanilla extract
non stick spray
aluminum foil

line loaf pan with aluminum foil (leave it hanging over the lip) and spray sparingly with non stick spray

Heat butter and milk till butter is melting remove from heat, stir to completely melt butter, add vanilla extract.

Mix dry ingredients then pour in liquid. Mix well

Pour into foil lined pan, refrigerate for at least an hour.

Lift out by excess foil, flip on to cutting board and gently remove the foil, cut into 1" squares.

Some of you know I was working the New England Rally this weekend. I was the radio operator in the sweep medical vehicle. Yes, there was an accident involving that vehicle, both the driver and myself were boarded and transported by ambulance to the hospital. We were both treated and released I am stiff and sore, have some rather impressive bruises, but I am otherwise ok.

Please do not spread rumors about fault and such in the accident, I trust the driver I was with and would ride with her again if asked.

If you have questions, please ask me, I am ok talking about what happened.

I also took pictures of firespinning on Saturday, I have not had the time to do much to them but thought I would post a few of the better ones.

Somehow January 4th does not seem like a day to take the top down Miata for the am commute.

Where did winter go?

Believing...

This is about believing in someone. If you, who read this right now, believe that I have got what it takes to not only survive, but to thrive and succeed at what I set out to do, leave a comment here saying that you believe in me. Then, put this into your journal, and see just how deep your support structure really goes. You may be very surprised at who's out there rooting for you

So our truck needs to be fixed. It is currently in Marlborough at the shop of the guy we used to have work on it out there. It needs to have the clutch slave cylinder replaced, this is a more than one man job, he is a one man shop. His recommendation was to find a place that is used to working on Ford trucks since even though this truck is a Mazda, this repair is one that is most commonly done on Fords.

So, I am looking for good experiences at places in the Boston Metro north area who might be able to do this kind of work. I would prefer to stay away from dealers as I have never had good luck with them.

I had a nightmare last night. All the things I had ever written in LJ had been put together as part of the write a book in November thing (yeah, I know it is still October) and published. Now I didn't have an issue with what I had said being published, but everyone was ripping apart my lack of command of the English language. There were wrong words, wrong spelling, sentences that were not complete (someone was using the old diagram a sentence thing that I hate to demonstrate that) Lots of picking on what I said and what I really meant, some of it like the MST3K that was done of the Anne Rice letter recently. Basically complete ridicule of my writing and me as a person because of my writing, no one ever wanted to speak to me again, I was just too dumb for all of them.

When I woke up from that I was shaking and terrified, could not even think about going back to sleep. So, I got up and did the only thing that seemed logical at 4:37 am, deleted every entry I had ever made in my LJ. I am somewhat sad that I did it, but in my mind at the time, it made perfect sense. I got back to sleep just before the alarm went off I think.
